An art budget of $100.00 for 360 students

One of the most important aspects of childhood education is arts. Over the decades, numerous studies have shown that participation in an arts program helps children develop literacy and critical thinking skills.

Unfortunately, in the recession, one of the first things to go is the school arts budget. One art teacher in Kansas City, MO received just $100.00 to buy supplies for 360 students. This is for the ENTIRE school year.
